Rise for Real Estate Franchise Groups

Work Health and Safety legislation in all states means all directors of franchises and real estate groups are now legally responsible for the mental health of employees within their organisation even if they are employed by franchisees and not managing them directly. This is where the Rise Initiative can assist in this new legislation.

For good board and director governance and compliance, this means real estate franchises need to be able to show they have programs in place to train their principals on their legal obligations and the tools and mechanisms to support employees in the event of poor behaviour.

But more than that, as a leading franchisor, you want to position your real estate brand as an attractor of the best talent and demonstrate that you have the systems to enhance performance.

At the Rise Initiative, we love working with major real estate groups to build awareness of the importance of mental wellness and its role in building high-performing businesses.

We do this with a raft of initiatives to help you open up your offices to conversations about mental health, explore new ways to lead, training to inspire and educate around different ways to thrive in real estate, and tools to support offices and individuals.

Here’s how we’d love to work with you:

Roll out the Real Care app to your offices

Even your smallest offices can access and provide the very best in mental health care to their staff with the Real Care app. The app is designed not just for emergencies - it has a host of tools designed to build resilience, provide support at times of high emotion or stress.

At Rise, we have email sequences, marketing material and other resources to help you spread the word and our directors and Influencers are happy to jump on webinars or training sessions to share how to use it.

Provide free counselling to your franchisees

If you haven’t rolled out an Employee Assistance Program across your franchise, you’re in luck. The Real Care app has access to a free EAP courtesy of Domain and this includes three free and completely confidential phone counselling sessions. You can find it in the SOS section of the Real Care app. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to be in crisis to use the counselling service. It can be extraordinarily helpful as a preventative measure or to get advice to support a family member or colleague experiencing a mental health issue.

Create a white label version of the Real Care app

As a real estate franchisor you have invested heavily in your brand and you want your offices to use the approved technology and services that you provide which are aligned to your culture.

Real estate franchise and boutique groups can now have your own branded version of the Real Care app that provides the best in mental health care and performance for your team with your badging, colours and fonts.

The Real Care white-label app can also be customised with your own Employee Assistance Program and any additional information and initiatives that you have in the mental health and performance space.

Invite a Rise Influencer to speak at your next event

We have a great range of presentations to address the topic of how to thrive in real estate, mental wellness and performance at your next kickstart, leadership event, annual conference, or even to share with your offices for their sales and property management training.

Sessions are designed to be helpful, inspiring and give attendees practical takeaways they can use straight away. It will also update them on their compliance obligations and empower them at the same time.

Attend Rise Leadership

You probably have principals in your group who impress you with their leadership skills and those who you believe could be really great if they just leaned in a little more. We encourage you to send them to the Rise Leadership conference where we explore the modern challenges of leadership and provide new frameworks for connecting with purpose and helping your team to thrive. We also encourage you to bring your executive team.

Train key members of your leadership team in mental health support

The Rise Initiative works with mental health first aid providers to deliver training for mental health. Just as you have fire and safety wardens, you can train key members of your executive team to deliver mental health first aid and preventative programs.
