The Rise Initiative has been named as a finalist in the REB Awards for Social and Community Program of the Year for its work on the Real Care app.
The REB Awards is celebrating 10 years of awarding the industry’s finest professionals!
The finalist list, which was announced on Tuesday, 30 November, features over 290 high-achieving professionals across 33 submission-based categories.
This prestigious awards ceremony is the benchmark for excellence, recognising the industry’s most distinguished agents and businesses across Australia, highlighting their outstanding achievements, expertise, skill and dedication within the industry.
For the past decade these awards have acknowledged the exceptional accomplishments of driven and enthusiastic professionals across all facets of the real estate industry and provided a platform for their achievements to be recognised!
REB deputy editor Grace Ormsby said this year’s finalists are leading the way for real estate excellence across Australia, and deserve to be recognised for their pursuits over a particularly challenging 12-month period.
“To be named as a finalist places professionals and businesses among an elite group of performers. We cannot wait to celebrate the achievements of all of our finalists and unveil our award winners at our black-tie gala event on 3 March 2022 at Sydney’s The Star,” Ms Ormsby said.
“On behalf of REB and Momentum Media, I’d like to wish all of our finalists the best of luck!”
Sarah Bell, cofounder of the Rise Initiative, said that she was humbled to be recognised and proud to be named as a finalist in the REB Awards 2022.
“The Rise Initiative’s recognition for our contribution to the real estate industry through the Real Care app reinforces the strength of the value of the Real Care app and the importance of mental wellness to the real estate industry,” she said.
“Research conclusively shows the real estate industry experiences mental health and wellness challenges that are significantly higher than average Australians and tragically our suicide level is higher on the danger spectrum than policing.”
The Real Care App and Rise Initiative is an inclusive program that enables the real estate industry to achieve better businesses by:
Improving workplace health and safety:
Legislation in every Australian jurisdiction places a duty on business leaders and employers to provide a mentally safe workplace and mental wellness is a priority in public health.
Improving employee performance:
The cost of mental health to Australian business is $3B annually, according to the Black Dog Insitute. Healthy employees are more productive and the return on investment for small businesses can be up to $14 for every dollar invested in wellness programs.
Improving the families and communities where real estate agents work and live:
Mental health and wellness is not merely a lack of illness. The World Health Organisation includes the ability to realise one’s own potential, to work fruitfully and to make a contribution to one’s own community.
