The Rise Initiative, the leading advocate for mental health and well-being within the real estate industry, today announced the appointment of Steve Carroll as its new CEO. This strategic move underscores The Rise Initiative’s commitment to driving meaningful change and prioritising mental health across the sector.
Carroll brings a wealth of experience to The Rise Initiative, having held senior leadership roles within three of the world’s largest media companies. His extensive background as a sales director in the UK, Australia, and the UAE has equipped him with a unique global perspective and a proven track record of success.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Carroll is a passionate advocate for community and well-being. He is the founder of the Digital Live charity bike ride, a remarkable initiative that has united the real estate community to raise over $2 million in under five years for children facing homelessness. His dedication to social impact has earned him recognition as one of the most influential leaders in real estate by Elite Agent for the past three consecutive years.
Carroll’s strong international connections across the real estate industry, forged through collaborations with leaders and businesses globally, will be invaluable in expanding The Rise Initiative’s reach and impact.
“This is a bold and strategic move for The Rise Initiative,” said Nick West, chairman of The Rise Initiative and a director at Nelson Alexander. “Steve’s exceptional leadership experience, coupled with his genuine passion for mental health and community, makes him the ideal person to lead us into this exciting new chapter.
“Steve’s proven ability to unite people and drive positive change aligns perfectly with our mission to prioritise well-being within the real estate industry. We are incredibly excited to welcome him aboard and are confident that he will further amplify the vital work that Rise is doing.”
Steve said he was excited to expand the work of Rise and take it to the next level.
“I am honoured to be joining The Rise Initiative. The work that Rise has done to date is truly inspiring,” he said.
“I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by professionals in this dynamic industry, and I am committed to fostering a supportive and resilient community.”
Steve said he looked forward to working with Kylie Davis and her team and the Rise Initiative partners and to build upon the strong foundations created for the mental health charity.
"To be part of an organisation that is so committed to making a real difference in people's lives is incredibly exciting,” he said. “I have admired Rise's work for a long time, and I'm thrilled to be able to contribute my skills and experience to this important mission."
Carroll’s appointment signifies The Rise Initiative’s dedication to strengthening its position as a leading voice in mental health advocacy within the real estate industry. His leadership will be instrumental in driving the organisation’s strategic initiatives and expanding its reach to support professionals across the globe.
